I could never get into any of these shows: two of my largest sources of misophonia are 1) people chewing and 2) people talking with their mouth full.

But I only watch Scott Kramer videos when I eat and I only eat when I watch Scott Kramer videos. Scott, please drop more vids, I’m starving.

I remember Dinner for Five! John Favreau was an amazing host.

Even in podcast format, off menu has a similar vibe that has the guardrails of food in their interview. Sometimes the interview soley revolves around food, sometimes it goes somewhere completely different

I get why people love watching these types of shows and interviews and I understand why it works as a formula. But as someone with misophonia, I cannot stand these types of shows. If I hear someone chew or crunch I actually want to die and it's so annoying that I'm sometimes really interested in the interview itself but there's absolutely no way I could watch a show where people eat. I even put off watching this video and I hovered my mouse over the mute button the entire time, just in case there was a clip of someone eating with sound. So to me personally it's very much a plague.

I like Scott’s idea for a show called “Just Two Buds” but I think every episode should be a casual conversation with a famous pair of people drinking beer such as Smosh, Good Mythical Morning, or the Olsen Twins.

I swear this man has been using a different mic for every video in the past couple of weeks

I am not really interested in celebrities at all and have never watched any of these food interview shows and I had no idea there was so many of them! I’ve seen hot ones pop up on my recommended a few times and I’ve seen a couple other fandoms ones show up too but that’s it. I didn’t realise these shows were so popular

ok but including mythical kitchen in this is not right because the whole point of the channel is that its based around food! they are talented and understand food in a way that is both knowledgeable and down to earth! they can deliver notes on restaurants with michelin stars as well as your little japanese izakaya that most people living in a decent sized city can find around the corner. for me they open you up to new insights and concepts that have genuinely allowed me to further my gastronomic exploration and personal experimentation in my own kitchen. if you cook or just truly love food mythical kitchen is pretty sick! nicole and josh ruleee

When I think about the trailers giving away too much, I always think of treasure planet. It's my favorite underrated Disney movie and it showed everything in the previews. Would love to see it get the live action adaption or Atlantis 😂

I think it's also important to mention the late Anthony Bourdain who did this style of interview every episode...with the Obama interview being the most eye-catching one. Andrew Zimmern also had his fair share of eating interviews. And that's why they were amazing. The new eating interview shows these days...well, follow the same template but just stretch it in one way or another (hot food, diner atmosphere, etc). While I'm sure we are on our way to oversaturating this genre (only a matter of time before Jimmy Fallon gets in on it)...for now, it really does bring a much better viewing experience compared to traditional more professional talk shows and interviews.

For my boyfriend and others like him who suffer from misophonia, interviews like this are a no-go. Even for me, spending 15 years with someone who suffers from misophonia has made me hyper-aware of mouth noises, so I can't watch them without feeling uncomfortable.
